Construction Update – September 2019

24TH SEPTEMBER 2019

As we move into spring, construction activity continues on site at Signature with the builders busy installing pile foundations. These are deep concrete columns within the ground which provide the base for Signature’s structure. 37 pile foundations are now complete, constructed to depths of 50 metres below ground.

Construction of the basement perimeter ”diaphragm wall” will commence this week, and the basement perimeter guide wall installation is complete.

Specialised ground anchors, which will be installed to the diaphragm wall during basement excavation, have been ordered and are on their way to Broadbeach from Germany.

Completion at Signature is anticipated for the first half of 2022.

We are very pleased to advise that Signature Broadbeach has now officially ‘topped out’, meaning that the roof of the building has been fully constructed. This is a significant milestone in the project and one that moves us into the final stage of construction being the ongoing fit out of apartments and common areas. We have already made significant progress on the internal fit out, with all levels up to level 21 fully plastered and joinery installed.
